A study of the market for military ground robot mobile platforms says big growth is expected. About $3.2 billion was spent on software and robotic platforms, but the market will reach $10.2 billion by 2021.
What to watch: The market for these systems is not just the military. “Virtually every government department is likely to purchase military robots,” the report suggests, with competitive bidding very likely.
